OGRA slashes petroleum prices


ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has slashed prices of POL products up to Rs. 3 per liter today. OGRA has issued official notification for 3.5 percent total reduction in the prices of petroleum products including petrol, high speed diesel, light diesel and high-octane.

According to OGRA notification, price of petrol has been reduced by Rs. 3 per liter, high speed diesel by Rs. 2, and light diesel by Rs. 1.13 and high-octane by Rs. 2.21 per liter. There is no change announced in the price of kerosene oil

The new prices of petrol after reduction by Rs 3 have come to Rs 83.71 per liter.

High speed diesel will now sell at Rs 92.10 per litre. Similarly, light diesel will be available in the open market at Rs 81.39 per litre.

There is no change in the price of kerosene oil and it will be available at Rs 84.65 per litre. The new prices will be applicable from July 1


The sources also added that due to one percent cut in GST and reduction in crude oil’s prices in international market the authorities will give some relief to the POL products’ consumers in the country.
