The Government of Baluchistan announced the provincial budget for the year 2011-12 with the amount of 164.5 billion
Finance minister Mir Asim Kurd address the assembly and presented the budget, The total amount of Rs 31.6 billion has been allocated for development project, and Non-Development Expenditure have been set at Rs 133.1 billion. It is reported that this budget is highest in the history of province.
The province revenue received Rs127 billion. The current budget has a deficit of Rs6.73 billion.
The deficit will be bridged by increasing revenue and adopting austerity, said Kurd.
Government employees increase the 15 % in the salaries they said.
An amount of Rs11.53 billion has been set aside for the improvement of law and order situation in the province.
Education sector will receive Rs19.25 billion, the highest allocation in non-development expenditures, and the health sector received Rs8.6 billion.
The provincial government will create more than 6,000 new jobs to minimize unemployment.
